Copper alloy annular brooch. Cast circular frame of a bevelled or sub-triangular section, flat at the back. The band is deeply nicked producing a faintly vermiform effect. The stub of a drawn wire pin is wrapped around the band. The grey tint of metal may suggest the presence of tin or lead in the mix. Suggested date: Medieval, 1200-1300.
