A selection of four pottery sherds of Medieval Clay Hill type ware, dating from c. AD 1175-1225. All of the sherds consist of body sherds with a darker orange-red colour. All sherds possess very small inclusions of sand and medium-small inclusions of flint, which are pervasive throughout the material. Found in conjunction with nine pottery sherds of Lewes Castle Ware, dating from c. AD 1050-1175. Total weight 7.68 grams.

These pottery sherds have been assessed by local ceramicist and archaeologist Luke Barber, who has confirmed their date and association.
