Incomplete medieval copper alloy composite strap-end of crescentic type, the front of the crescent is decorated with engraved foliate decoration and cast sub-lozengiform foliar knop with deep V-sectioned engraved grooves. Both points of the crescent are missing, one broken across a rivet-hole, two further rivet-holes contain copper alloy rivets above springing of knop, scrap of the sheet back plate corroded onto the reverse. Extant length 41.5mm. Width 30.5mm. Cf. Fingerlin 1971 Abb. 312-314. First half 15th century.
