Medieval gilt copper alloy mount, perhaps from a harness, a large stud with a domed (slightly distorted) quatrefoil head and integral sub-circular sectioned (bent) shank. Cf. examples from Goltho (A.R. Goodall in Beresford 1987, 173-4, fig. 154 nos. 13 and 14) and Hen Domen (Higham and Barker 2000, 104, no. 116). Head diameter c.29mm. Length c.24mm. Mid 12th - 13th century
