Medieval copper alloy brooch. Triangular-sectioned annular frame with a pointed projection on one side and an empty collet on the other, with a constriction possibly retaining a corroded fragment of pin between. The whole surface is covered in an orange-brown deposit but is non-magnetic. Measuring 30 x 19mm. Internal diameter 13mm. For a similar example from a c.1270 - c.1350 context see Egan and Pritchard (2002, 254, fig.164, no.1335). 13th - 14th century.
