A complete lead token of post medieval date (AD 1550-1850). The object is sub-circular in plan and flat in section. On the obverse of the object is a raised motif in the shape of an anchor. The reverse of the object is a raised dodecafoil motif.
Lead tokens had a wide variety of potential uses such as tallies, gaming pieces, tickets, weights, etc. and are believed to have been locally produced; they are therefore difficult to date precisely.
