Late Medieval to Post Medieval ceramic vessel body sherd with very little abrasion. The slightly stepped fine sandy fabric can be scratched with a thumbnail, is reduced (mid grey core and outer face, buff where oxidised on the internal face), and remnant external glaze. This brown yellow glaze is almost entirely lost & is only represented by two tiny remnants (see magnified image). The fabric has a number of tiny voids and inclusions, both mostly less than 0.5mm in size. Probably dates from c1400 to c1600 AD.
The length is 18mm, width 18mm, thickness 6mm, and the weight 2.52g.
