'A medieval to post-medieval cast copper-alloy trade weight. The weight is circular in plan and flat in cross section. It has an incised circle around the edge creating a border and a further raised ring inside. There are four stamps on the weight but the emblem is currently unknown and no parallels have so far been discovered it is possibly a foreign trade weight. The reverse has not been seen by FLO. The weight is 32mm diameter. The earliest copper alloy trade weights apparently date from the late 14th and 15th century. From the reign of Henry VII, c. 1495 they start being stamped with the kings initial. This weight therefore could date to c.1375-1495 but in style and manufacture it looks later upto possibly 1750AD and may well be foreign possibly French'.

The diameter is 28mm and the weight 36.53g.
