Distorted Late Saxon copper alloy finger ring, D-sectioned with pointed, formerly overlapping or almost touching, terminals, now 14mm apart. This type of ring was widespread in East Anglia, cf. SF-313804, and Goodall, A.R. in Rogerson and Dallas 1984, 69, fig. 110, nos. 17-22. The diameter cannot now be estimated with any great accuracy. If the terminals touched each other but did not overlap the external diameter was c.22mm. Maximum width and thickness of the hoop 3.5 and 2.1mm. 10th - mid 11th century.
