A group of 27 flint flakes and chunks, probably debitage or waste material from flint working, of unknown date, probably Mesolithic to Neolithic, about 9000 BC - 2200 BC. The pieces are patinated to white and appear to be secondary and tertiary flakes. None have any retouch.
Notes:
This material is recovered from the surface of an unmade track but the finder does not think it has been imported to build up the track. The track also utilises bedrock and red bricks, and the flints are from the same layers as these. The flints could also have washed down to these layers.
