A ceramic probable tessera of Roman date (c. AD 43 - 410). The tessera is asymmetrical in shape, with three squared off sides and one side which has been cut on a diagonal line. It is comprised of a light grey ceramic with a fine sandy texture and occasional sub-rounded white quartz inclusions.

The tessera measures 27.46mm in length, 27.25mm maximum width, 20.61mm minimum width, is 16.81mm thick and weighs 21.76g.
