A Post Medieval Copper Alloy double loop buckle, dating AD1550-1650. The buckle is formed of two oval loops and a pin, which survives attached to the bar. There is no decoration but at either end of the central bar, there are rounded knops and circular projections on the outer edges of the frame. Fragments of the leather strap survived in association with the object.
There are many examples on the database of this type of buckle and similar examples in Whitehead (2003, 65)
