Pale grey flint with light misty patina patches, backed blade. Flake with a low bulb trimmed on the ventral surface and with very short abrupt retouch along part of one slightly concave long edge executed from the dorsal aspect. The retouch disrupts patina possibly acquired during a period of exposure, and appears intended to blunt the back of a small blade, though both primary and secondary working could be accommodated by the Early Neolithic period. Suggested date: Early Neolithic, 4000-3500 BC.
Length: 28.3mm, Width: 20.2mm, Thickness: 3.3mm, Weight: 1.80gms.
Evidence of reuse: Interruption of patina by retouch
Subsequent action after recording: Returned to finder
