A cast lead alloy weight dating from the Medieval to the Post-Medieval period, (AD1066-1800). The object is oval in plan with a slightly raised rim on one face. One edge of the object has been damaged in recent times. Lead weights are common throughout the Medieval and Post-Medieval period and are therefore difficult to date accurately. There is a shield impressed on the face without a raised rim.
