Medieval ceramic vessel handle sherd. The fabric is hard fired, Humber ware (1275-1500) with an oxidised pink orange outer margin and grey interior. The fabric has moderate fine sand inclusions, a rough feel and an uneven fracture. The thick olive green glaze remains within a deep groove, running longitudinally down the handle. The sherd is 52.44mm in length, 42.11mm wide, 13.34mm thick and weighs 23.69g.
