A fragment of a Roman samian ware vessel, probably a bowl, dating 1st-2nd century AD. The fragment consists of the neck and body of a vessel. The clay is a light orange with hardly any inclusions. It is likely of Central Gaulish manufacture. There are traces of a mid red glaze on all surfaces. The sharply everted rim and steady curve of the vessel wall would suggest the fragment comes from a bowl

Dimensions: height: 42.86 mm; estimated rim diameter: 160 mm; thickness: 6.16 mm; weight: 10.44g.
