A post medieval silver incomplete set of cufflinks dating AD1755. The set of cufflinks consist of two circular discs, convex at the front and concave at the rear, held together with a soldered wire elongated loop. One of the discs is incomplete and the shape is distorted. Both discs are not decorated. On the reverse of the discs, a soldered semi circular loop has been fixed to the centre of each one. Through this loop is the elongated loop made from circular sectioned silver wire. The soldered joint occurs at one end. A stamped maker's mark is present on the reverse of both discs, comprising the letters "RM" within a rectangular cartouche. This maker's mark is stamped twice on the back of each of the discs. This is probably the maker's mark of Richard Mills, London AD1755.
Each disc has a diameter of 16.2 mm and 5.1 mm thick. The metal is 0.5 mm thick. Together both cufflinks measure 28.9 mm in length. They weigh 3.51g.
