A complete copper alloy post-medieval dress hook. It has a circular openwork body consisting of a central heart shape surrounding by a circle and then a row of conjoined ovals. Extending from the top is a rectangular attachment loop and from the bottom a rear-facing pointed hoop. It survives in fair condition, but the hook is bent out of shape.
It belongs to Read's (2008) early post-medieval Class E, Type 3, particularly his no.363-97, which appear to have been in use during the 16th and into the 17th century (ibid., 87).
