Grey semi-translucent lithic implement. Flake with a broad flake trimmed from its dorsal side and with a bulb and ripples on the ventral. Very short abrupt retouch, of uncertain direction, appears to have blunted one long edge. Very short abrupt retouch executed from the ventral aspect follows the opposite long edge, suggesting the creation of a backed blade. However, the angled end of the flake bears very short scalar retouch of the side of the bulb of percussion, as if here intended for use as a scraper. The very slight patina may suggest the object endured only a brief period of exposure after deposition and before its incorporation into a sealed context. Suggested date: Early Neolithic, 4000-3500 BC.
