A sherd of Post Medieval ceramic vessel dating from about AD 1500 - 1700. It is handle sherd from a small Cistercian or Black Ware vessel such as a cup or tyg. It has a hard, smooth fabric with a fine texture. Dark purple grey coloured throughout. The outer faces are covered with very drak brown to black glaze. The handle is curved and D shaped in section. It is 21.2mm long, 12.9mm wide and 6.3mm thick. 1.95g.
