A sherd of Post Medieval ceramic vessel dating from about AD 1600 - 1800. It is a wall and base sherd, possibly an abraded rim from a shallow dish. It is slipware. It has a fairly hard, smooth fabric with an irregular texture. Pale orange coloured with a a darker orange surface. Sparse dark grey and dark red inclusions. The inner face is decorated with a band of yellow/white slip with three dots in the middle left without slip. The whole inner surface is then covered with a clear glaze, leaving the unslipped areas to appear bright orange. The diameter of the base is about 240mm. The wall is at about a 45 degree angle from the base. The sherd is 20mm tall, 45.3mm wide and the rim is 7.3mm thick. 16.24g.
