An incomplete copper alloy Medieval buckle dating to the period c. AD 1270-1350. The buckle is D shaped in profile, with a narrowed and offset axis bar. It is D shaped in section, and expands to a notched lip with a transverse knop either side. It is plain on the reverse, is missing the pin and has a grey patina. It is Meols type 9.

Egan and Pritchard (1991) no. 295, p.73 which dates to AD 1270-1350.
The buckle measures 18.24mm in length, 16.26mm in width and is 1.94mm thick. It weighs 1.17g.
