A rimsherd of a wheel thrown ceramic vessel of Roman dating (1st to 4th Centuries AD).

The sherd consists of a rimsherd, in a fabric similar to that of an Malvernian rock tempered coarseware, of Roman dating (1st to 4th Centuries AD). The sherd is probably from a bowl type vessel, imitating the popular Dorset Black Burnished ceramic type.

The sherd is 9.4 mm thick and weighs 12.7 g. It is 33.2 mm long and 28.5 mm wide.
