A fragment of a ceramic vessel of Roman date. The vessel is a rim and body sherd from a shallow East Gaulish Samian Ware (terra sigillata) bowl or dish. The sherd is sub-triangular with a slight projecting rim and an orange fabric with glossy red slip remaining in a large patch on the exterior surface and along the rim on the interior.

Dragendorff type 36.

The fragment is 57.4mm long, 30.2mm wide, 7.1mm thick and weighs 10.1g.
