A Medieval silver coin; a pennyof Edward I (AD 1272 - 1307), Class 2, 3 or 7 dating from AD 1279 - 1296. Mint of Canterbury. The coin is bent and is almost illegible. The attribution of Class is based on one letter S which is visible and which is composite. See North Volume 2 (1991) number 1014/5, 1016/22 or 1032/3. The coin is 16.6mm diameter, 0.5mm thick and 0.7g.
