An incomplete copper-alloy ring of uncertain function, probably Medieval to post-Medieval (1066-1800).
This ring was circular in plan prior to the loss of material around the edges. It is flat at the front and rear, bevelled internally and externally. Consequently, it is hexagonal in cross-section.
The ring is green with patches of a darker green patina.
Maximum external diameter: 25.5mm; maximum internal diameter: 16.3mm; thickness: 3.7mm. Weight: 6.35g.
