A stone post-medieval cannon ball probably dating to the sieges of Newark during the English Civil War (AD 1644-1646). Overall, the cannon ball measures 105mm in diameter. The cannon ball is spherical and has a lozengiform perforation in its surface. The stone has quartz and other inclusions.
