A complete knapped lithic implement of Mesolithic to Neolithic date, circa 7000 - 3500 BC. The implement is a fabricator which is sub-ovate in plan and lozenge in section. The implement has been extensively worked on all sides having numerous flakes of varying sizes removed from each surface. More extensive stepped, abrupt retouch is evident along both mesial edges
The flint is a light bluish-grey colour. The implement is 76.6mm long, 17.7mm wide, 15.1mm thick and weighs 24.6g.
Fabricators may have been used in leatherworking though other suggestions include strike-a-lights.
