Cast copper alloy spectacle or double-loop oval buckle frame that is plano-convex in section with a bevelled inner edge and a recessed pin bar with moulded knops at either end of the bar. The pin is now missing. The buckle frame is 31.8 mm long, 22.8 mm wide and 1.9 mm thick, and the pin bar is 22.2 mm long including the knops, 2 mm wide and 2 mm thick.
Whitehead (1996) illustrates a similar example on page 54, no.308, which is dated from c.1500-1650.
