Incomplete cast copper alloy stud in the form of a sexfoil star consisting of six points at the end of a trefoil terminal. Each of the six lozenge-shaped sections are defined by an incised line that intersect at the centre of the stud. The back of the stud has the base of a single central integral lug that survives to only 1.2 mm in height.
Read (2001) illustrates a very similar sexfoil stud with a central lug on page 32, fig.32, no.246, which is dated from the 15th to the early 16th century.
