A complete knapped lithic implement of Neolithic date, circa 4000BC- 2300BC. The implement is a piece of debitage, or waste material, produced during the knapping process. It is circular in plan and sub-D-shaped in section. The bulb of percussion and striking platform remain on the ventral surface from which ripples of percussion radiate, probably produced by soft hammer technique. The dorsal surface is also smooth with no evident retouch.
The flint is a mid-grey colour. The implement is 28.2mm long, 27.1mm wide, 4.5mm thick and weighs 3.7g.
