An incomplete silver Iron Age coin; a North Eastern half unit attributed to the Corieltavi, dating from Hazelgrove Phase 6, about 50 - 20 BC. One side has been struck from a very worn die, resulting in one face being almost blank, showing just traces of a boar motif. The other face is also damaged and unclear, but probably depicts a celticised horse, facing right, with a rosette of eight pellets above. It is 10.1mm long, 7.6mm wide and 1.5mm thick. 0.36g. About half the coin is missing. Compare Rudd, 2010, Ancient British Coinage, page 95, number 1833.
