COIN

Unique ID: HESH-79E3FD

Object type certainty: Possibly
Workflow status: Awaiting validation Find awaiting validation

A small silver disc - possibly a coin blank of uncertain date. Although without parallel the disc is recorded due to its findspot. One side is domed whilst the other is very slightly dished. Both sides are marked, but no discernible pattern is present. The finder has commented on the similarity between this and small silver units from the late Iron Age. Such a find would fit well within the landscape in which it was found.

The disc measures 8.6mm diameter, is 2.8mm thick and weighs 0.9 grams
