A copper-alloy post-medieval strap fitting of probably 1600-1800 date. The fitting has an oval body with a horizontal rectangular projection at either end. It has a flat rectangular cross section. At one end there is a circular attachment lug with a large central perforation. at the other end there is a rectangular projection which could once have been a hook, but hat has been broken away by an old break.
The object is 58mm long, 18mm wide and weighs 7.61 grams.
