Grey flint with cortex and dense misty patina, scraper. Irregular flake with a prominent bulb on the ventral surface and invasive angled scalar retouch trimming cortex along a curving edge. This may have left a slight protruding 'nose' on the working face. The scraper was refurbished with short scalar retouch along parts of its former working edge, interrupting a patina which had presumably accumulated over a period of exposure. After this reuse, it was deposited in a sealed context preventing further patination. Both original and secondary use could be accommodated within the Bronze Age. Suggested date: Bronze Age, 2350-800 BC.
