A lead alloy Medieval spindle whorl dating from about AD 1200 - 1600. It is biconvex with a prominent median ridge, and a circular central aperture of 10.4mm diameter with a cavity in the internal side wall. Both faces are decorated with raised pellets and lines, but the detail is very worn. The whorl has a cream coloured patina. It is 28.9mm diameter, 10.9mm thick and 38.55g.
