A gold plated copper alloy Iron Age coin; a plated South Ferriby Stater, a North Eastern coin attributed to the Corieltauvi, probably dating from 50 BC - 20 BC (Haselgrove Period II, Phase 6). Compare ABC, p. 92, no. 1743. The coin is incomplete, with two pieces missing from the edge. It is 20mm diameter, 3.3mm thick and 3.67g.
