An incomplete cast lead four part alnage seal, possibly from the reign of George I (1714-1727 AD). One disc and part of the connecting strip survive, the remainder now missing due to old breaks. The disc is flat, circular in form, and with some damage on all edges. At the top of the disc is an integrally cast rectangular connecting strip, now incomplete due to old breaks. The front face of the disc depicts a laureate(?) bust right, surrounded by the worn legend G.BR-RE[X], presumably for George I or later. The entire object measures 23.29mm in length, 15.43mm in width, 1.15mm in thickness, and 2.33g in weight.
This is an incomplete alnage seal similar to other recorded examples (e.g. LANCUM-D5D7B8; see also Egan, 1995: pp. 60-74). It is of Post-Medieval date, perhaps from the reign of George I and therefore early 18th century in date.
