A complete Neolithic to early Bronze Age flint awl/scraper/notched flake. It is formed on a long, narrow secondary flake, which still has cortex covering the left side of the dorsal face. A short, blunt point has been created below the left side of the distal end via a small amount of scaled, short, low-angle retouch, a deep notch and a few long, thin removals on its dorsal surface. There is also a small amount of long, semi-abrupt, sub-parallel retouch along the right side of the dorsal face and a probably deliberate deep notch in its centre. The tool may therefore have had a variety of functions. It has a narrow butt and prominant bulb of percussion. The flint is milky gray in colour with a slight patina.
