A complete Neolithic to early Bronze Age flint side scraper and possible awl/borer. It is roughly triangular in shape and formed on a secondary flake with cortex still covering c.40% of the dorsal face. There is scaled, low angle, long retouch along the right edge of the dorsal face and scaled, low angle, invasive retouch along the distal side of the ventral face forming a point to the right of this side. A few crude flakes have also been removed along the edge of the abrupt hinge fracture to the left of the dorsal face. It has a narrow butt and no obvious bulb of percussion. The flint is milky light grey in colour with a glossy patina.
