A basesherd of a wheel thrown ceramic vessel, of Medieval dating (AD 1200 to AD1400).
The basesherd consists of a local (unsourced) glazed earthenware, with frequent fine quartz and grit inclusions, dating from the 11th to 15th Centuries AD, most likely from a cooking pot. No enough survives of the base to estimate original diameter.
The sherd is 8.6 mm thick and weighs 14.8 g. It has a length of 18.1 mm and is 39.2 mm wide.
