An incomplete teritary debitage flake, of probable Mesolithic to Early Neolithic dating (6500 BC to 3500 BC).
The flake is sub rectangular in shape, and sub triangular in cross section. A ridge runs the length of the dorsal (upper) surface. The remains of conchoidal ripples and a bulb of percussion are present on the ventral (lower) surface. Minimal retouch is present along the long edge and can be classified as short, parallel, semi-abrupt.
It measures 15.3 mm in length, 6.9 mm wide and 4.2 mm thick. It weighs 0.5 g.
The flint is an dark brown colour, with minimal surface patination occurring.
