A bodysherd of a wheel thrown ceramic vessel, of Medieval dating (AD 1200 to AD 1400).
The bodysherd consists of a local (unsourced) unglazed earthenware, with frequent fine quartz and grit inclusions, dating from the 11th to 15th Centuries AD. Due to the size of the fragment, it is hard to determine the original vessel form, but possibly a jug or cooking pot.
The sherd is 8.2 mm thick and weighs 15.0 g. It measures 28.5 mm in length and 49.6 mm wide.
