A flint side scraper of Neolithic date (c. 4000 - 2350 BC). The scraper is struck on a secondary flake and retains c. 10% cortex on the dorsal surface. It exhibits two negative flake scars on the dorsal surface from previous flake removal. The striking platform is lenticular in shape and exhibits evidence of platform preparation. There is short scaled semi-abrupt retouch running along the length of one mesal edge and from the distal end to approximately one third of the way up the length of the opposite mesal edge. The ventral surface exhibits a low bulb of percussion concurrent with soft-hammer working. The flint is a semi-translucent mottled dark to mid grey with lighter coarse-grained inclusions.

The scraper measures 52.17mm in length, 42.41mm in width, is 8.81mm thick and weighs 23.14g.
