An incomplete copper alloy medieval bar mount. 60% of the original mount remains. It is thin and long with a broad circular central hole and a smaller circular knop at the end that is remaining, holding in situ a copper rivet.
It is similar to an example from London illustrated by Egan and Pritchard (991,214 fig 134 no. 1154 ) with one of the ends missing. It belongs to a group with a long chronology extending from the late 12th to mid 15th century.
