A ceramic rim sherd from a Roman vessel dating to the period c. AD 43 - 410. The sherd is from a flanged vessel. The fabric has a fine sandy texture and is off-white with a reduced grey core. The rim is sub-triangular in profile and measure 15.53mm in thickness, below which the body of the vessel curves outwards and terminates in an old break.
The sherd measures 35.52mm in height, 74.45mm in width, 15.53mm maximum thickness, 7.26mm minimum thickness and weighs 27.32g.
