A rim sherd from a late medieval coarseware vessel. The rim is slightly everted with a ridge running around the outside c.8mm below the rim and an internal lid seat. It has a hard, sandy fabric with oxidised surfaces and a grey inner core (MCW). There are perhaps traces of a brown glaze on both faces.
