A Post Medieval cast copper alloy double loop trapezoidal buckle c. 1570-1700. There is a central narrowed strap bar which has traces of iron staining possibly from the pin which is now missing. The frame is D-shaped in section with a flat back. There are rounded knops protruding from either end of the strap bar. The buckle is greenish grey in colour. Similar type buckles can be seen in WHITEHEAD (2003) p.75.
It measure 26.3mm long, 20.4mm wide, 2mm thick and weighs 3.2 grams.
