Medieval copper alloy oval buckle frame with an incomplete pin, offset, narrowed bar and about nineteen filed transverse and radial grooves on the sides and the convex outside edge. Surface damage has entirely removed some grooves. A deep groove with traces of rocker-arm engraving runs for the same distance along the outer face of the outside edge. The pin, though quite flimsy and not obviously cast, is decorated with a narrow transverse rin next to the loop. Length and width 22 and 38.5mm. Late 13th - 14th century.
