Incomplete Late Iron Age to Early Roman copper alloy Langton Down brooch, with the pin, part of the spring, parts of the spring casing and the lower part of the bow and the catchplate missing. There is a pair of transverse grooves on the top of the housing. A pair of curving grooves marks the top of the bow and below it there is a pair of median grooves. The bow tapers downwards to the break. Its front is slightly convex and its rear almost flat. Mackreth 2011, LD 9. Extant length 24mm. Bow width 12.8 - 4.8mm. Early to mid 1st century.
